Garifuna day
A day for commemorating the arrival of the Garifuna in Livingston and a celebration of all things Garifuna.
A few boat loads of Garifuna make their way onto the beaches of Livingston. There they are met by others playing music and singing, they make their way to the center of the small town where they meet with a second group of Garifuna who landed on the other side of the bay. They dance together and share some traditional foods. The group then make their way up to the local church were they celebrate their arrival.
